Job Summary
The District Manager will oversee all assigned locations and sales activities to verify compliance and success toward goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Hire and train store managers and assist managers with team selection and training as needed.

  • Organize and oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of management team members.

  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

  • Embrace a culture of coaching towards success, with the intention on following through with discipline to include separation, as needed when coaching is unsuccessful. 

  • Cover shifts as needed to support leadership presence in all locations.

  • Work with management team to verify scheduling supports cost containment measures. 

  • Design and implement training, strategies, policies, goals, and other resources to maximize productivity and morale while protecting the culture and core values.

  • Take action on employee issues as they arise, gaining added information and/or support from HR Support and/or Ownership as needed for complex issues as they arise. 


Strategic Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the assigned region, overseeing all store activities and needs.

  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; using data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and to identify potential new initiatives to gain marketshare.

  • Collaborate with management team members to develop sales goals for each location, monitor progress toward those goals, and develop strategies to attract and retain customers that can be executed by the team with your support and guidance.

  • Develop marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products and services. Identify community events matching marketing plan and company design for name awareness and future growth. 

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the region and work directly with management team members to strategize the plan and confirm improvement execution. This is done utilizing the provided assessment tool, making recommendations for edits and improvements as needed. 

  • Schedule and direct regular sales / management meetings and events to share information and adjust goals as needed based on market trends. Provide outline and meeting notes to ownership upon completion.

  • Collaborate with ownership regarding company-wide objectives and deliverables for the role.

  • Work directly with ownership to develop a strong and comprehensive opening strategy for all new locations. 

  • Identify store operation improvements needed to meet goals and expectations. Execute appropriately with the management team members. 

  • Verify locations are running within budget, monitoring and approving expenses within the assigned approval levels and escalating as needed to Ownership. 

  • Maintain knowledge of market, competition, and best practices and trends in sales techniques and strategies.

Functional Duties / Responsibilities

  • Acts as Store Manager during gaps as needed to support the district.

  • Model adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Work in the multiple store locations, adjusting schedule as needed to support business needs and trends. Travel between the district locations as needed to support issues on a daily basis. 

  • Weekend support as needed to support events and verify the district stores are meeting the company expectations for quality and customer service.

  • On a monthly basis, an unexpected drop in, to include weekend times, during a busy period is expected at each district location.

  • Attend all assigned meetings.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Bowl will support this team member through contributions toward travel between locations (all local).
